A few things you might be wondering…

CAN WE HAVE MORE INFORMATION ON YOUR PRICING?

Of course, just drop us an email or fill out the form on the contact page and we’ll send you a brochure with all the details.

DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS AND BOOKS?

Yes. The albums and books we offer with our packages are handmade to order by Queensberry and Folio and are truly beautiful things. Visit our contact page and request a brochure to find out more.

WILL YOU BE DISCREET?

Yes, we try our hardest to be. Couples are often worried about being photographed all day, but everyone so far has told how quickly they forgot we are even there. We want your photos to be as natural as possible so we try to blend in rather than disrupt the natural flow of your day.

WHY TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS?

We find it works really well to have two people shooting on the day. It means we can cover the morning preparations of both the bride and groom, as well as cover other aspects of the day simultaneously. So if I’m doing some more formal shots, Tim will be snapping away getting some relaxed shots of your guests. We both love to look at each other’s photos from parts of the day we’ve not seen, and that’s certainly something our couples enjoy too.

WHAT DO YOU COVER?

Everything we possibly can. And because there are two of us we can be in two places at once. We both like to be there all day long, to witness everything from the first preparations to when things start to get messy on the dance floor! If you’d like to know more about our style of photography, see our What We Do page or take a look at our Gallery.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

Don't worry, fortunately this is something a British photographer has lots of practice dealing with. We have large white wedding umbrellas if need be, or if you have some pretty ones you'd like to use then bring them along. Rainy days can create some fantastic photographs so if you can brave it, it'll be worth it. If not, then we can keep dry somewhere inside.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

We love to. We're based in Nottinghamshire but will happily travel anywhere in the UK. We try to include our travel costs whenever possible, however if you're particularly far from us then we may need to travel up the night before so we've got plenty of energy for your day. This means we’ll need you to cover our travel and accommodation costs. Something cheap and cheerful is fine!

DO YOU DO DESTINATION WEDDINGS?

Yes we do! Just get in touch to tell us the location and we can have a chat to agree on a reasonable fee for travel and accommodation.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

We shoot with professional Canon digital cameras and lenses, and always carry back-up equipment with us, just in case.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Yes – professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

DO YOU SHOOT IN COLOUR OR BLACK AND WHITE?

We shoot all our photographs in colour, then when we’re editing we deciding which we think would look better as black and white. The ratio of colour to black and white images varies from wedding to wedding as each one is so different in colour palette and tone.

DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU?

We always really appreciate it if food is provided for us. We don’t take any photos while you’re eating so it’s a good time for us to recharge during the long day. We’re always very happy to sit in the bar or somewhere nearby so we can jump back into action once the speeches start. If you can’t provide a meal or snack please don’t worry. Just let us know and we'll make sure we bring a packed lunch.

DO YOU HAVE A CONTRACT?

If you’ve decided to book us then we’ll send you our booking form, which just asks for basic information such as the date, venue and addresses. This also has features our terms and conditions, which we ask you to sign and return.

DO WE NEED TO GIVE YOU A DEPOSIT?

Yes. When you return the booking form we also ask for a deposit of 10% to secure the booking. This can be paid by cheque or online transfer, whatever’s easiest for you. We then ask for the remaining balance to be paid at least 14 days before your wedding day.

DO YOU CHARGE LESS FOR FEWER HOURS?

We always attend the whole day and don’t charge by the hour. Our photography style aims to tell the story of your day, so we really like to be there from beginning to end and not miss any crucial moments!

CAN WE MEET BEFORE THE WEDDING?

Yes, we always prefer to meet before your wedding day if possible. We don’t want to be strangers on your day and we’d love to get to know you a little better. We're happy to meet you for a drink and a chat somewhere convenient for you. We can easily get to Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, but if we’re too far away from each other then we can always arrange a Skype chat.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

You can give us all the basic information on your booking form, but a rough schedule of the day really helps us know where to be and when. Other than that, just tell us anything you think would be helpful for us to know – that way we can just get straight on with it and not have to ask you questions on the day itself.

DO YOU TAKE FORMAL GROUP SHOTS?

While we prefer to stick to natural, unstaged shots we understand that couples and families often like a few more formal photographs. This is absolutely fine and we're happy to arrange an appropriate time and place to shoot them. It can often take longer than you think so we suggest you think carefully about which group combinations you need and write us a short list. This way they shouldn’t take up more than 15 minutes and everyone can get back to the celebrations as quickly as possible.

WHAT ABOUT BRIDE AND GROOM PHOTOS?

We always think it’s really important for the two of you to take around 20 minutes away from the wedding party to have some photographs alone together. We still want to keep things as natural and unposed as possible, so it typically involves us going for a stroll around your venue or somewhere of your choice, with me photographing at a discreet distance. These often make some of our favourite photographs and are a chance for you to spend some quiet time together (if you don’t mind us coming along too!).

WHEN CAN WE SEE OUR PICTURES?

We take a lot of care over editing your photographs and want them to look their best for you. Depending on the time of year, your photographs will be fully edited and ready to view between 6-10 weeks after your wedding. As soon as they’re ready you’ll be able to view your photographs (approximately 400-500 images) on an online gallery.

CAN WE PRINT FROM THE USB?

Yes, of course. Your photographs on the USB are high resolution, fully edited and all ready for you to print as you like.

HOW DOES THE ONLINE GALLERY WORK?

Simple – you log in through the client area on our site and can scroll through all your pictures, and order prints. It’s great for sharing and means friends and family can see and order photographs too.

CAN WE HAVE A PRE-WEDDING SHOOT?

Yes, you can. If you’re not usually that keen on having your photograph taken then this is a good opportunity to get used to the camera (and us) before the day. We can have a chat about where you’d like your shoot – maybe at your home or a location you both love. We usually take about an hour and make it as relaxed as possible.

DO YOU VISIT THE VENUE BEFORE THE DAY?

If we haven’t shot at a venue before we always try to make a visit before the wedding if we can, either with the couple or on our own. We like to familiarise ourselves with the locations and we're always happy to meet with you there.

ANYTHING ELSE…

If you have a question we haven’t covered please ask away – we’d be really happy to help.
